Upgrading from 5.50 Prome-3

Hi, I just found my gen1 PSP that I soft modded many years ago. It's current CFW is 5.50 Prome-3. After a few searches it's easy to tell that's a little out dated. My main goal is emulation of retro-isk stuff, however .iso's is always good. I guess what I'm asking is what cfw am I upgrading to, although any better suggestions/links are appriciated.

[EDIT] I think my battery is Pandora, not sure how to tell.
