Re: xmb CFW mod (Pro, L-ME & TN)

Post by marios92 » Thu Oct 22, 2015 2:52 pm

So, if im right now, i can launch the PRO even with the actual L-ME installed, in this way will be unistalled and install/launch PRO. If then i launch LME, will unistall PRO and install/launch L-ME, in this way i can have both CFW via install/launch one at time, right?
I no risk brik to launch PRO via senseme/comix with L-ME installed?

You can install LME & PRO onto your PSP. Yes, even both at once (actually one after each other, but they dont overwrite each other).

They are installed, but not active, yet. Using the launchers will reboot the PSP, which then will load the OFW + the installed CFW files (either PRO or LME), therefore the CFW becomes active (until reboot/shutdown).

The launcher mods just trigger a PSP reboot + loaded CFW modules - thats pretty much it... At least in a simplified way.

You can only load one CFW at once, not both. So you have OFW + PRO, OFW + LME, OFW + TN or just the OFW itself.

Yes you are right marios92. No brick risk by use of provided cfw xmb mod.
If you use wronge launcher nothing happen! Same if you put it in wronge floder.
So you don´t have to be shy to use.

Thanks Z for another detailed description.

Anyway seems dont work for me :/
I tried PRO cfw, put in PSP/APP, senseme version, but i still see SenseMe icon and word, and if i try to launch, say i need to update my software to use "senseme"
I cant use comix digital because i was used LightSpeed and now, even if i delete the folder from APP and lightspeed from GAME, still appear L-ME 6.60 (and, obviously, dont work), so in comix i cant put any other thing now... but anyway in senseme nothing appear...
EDIT: I tried to rename the folder in NPIA00013 (for sensme), now i can launch senseme icon but black screen and fwe seconds after my psp shut down...
EDIT 2: I remove Light Speed launching it again and remove installed files... i tried now both comix and senseme but not work... so i think i can confirm that this dont work on PSP 3000 03g 6.60... :(

First install for your firmeware 6.60 Pro cfw from PSP/GAME (pro-cfw mods are only launcher!) http://www.mediafire.com/download/8oaot ... 2-2015.zip

Then you can use http://www.mediafire.com/download/k59ld ... uncher.zip
to launch Pro-cfw via senseme and yes the icon do not change as in lightspeed so it´s a kind of hidden launcher^^

If you like to use digital comics it work even with lightspeed installed. If you replace lightspeed folder the xmb icon is still thiere (it is at flash, do not mess with flash).
Rename of mods folder do not work. For psp Pro-cfw at digital comics use http://www.mediafire.com/download/xc64j ... uncher.zip

If you still can not get it http://www.mediafire.com/?xuv5un26d8k7f42/ PSPDOXMANAGER 1.2 senseme mod.rar

lol dang... i will try xD maybe i was confused.
So now i not understand a detail: if is the same of normal launcher, what are the difference except that you can launch via senseme and comix?
What mean this-> Without any additonal flash touch = no extra brick risk [simply not work if you do it wronge]? The normal launcher can brik the console?...

Another .sfo file to make it work out of PSP/GAME floder, nothing else.

If you try to remember about lightspeed installation you had to disable flash0 protection. Which enable lightspeed to write a custom xmb icon -> .rco files.
You do not have to enable that risky function to use my modded cfw / launcher.

That´s also a reason why you can install those mods with pc and on ofw.

Btw lightspeed use old cfw version afaik maybe update your cfw...to do so just run latest installer.

edit: forgotten to mention Pro xmb mod - installer again. Link can be found in 1st post of this topic.
It use pro cfw b10 afaik so run latest updater after installation if you go on with that.

The LME & PRO launcher didnt change since 2-3 years. The installers did, but the launchers pretty much stayed the same.

I updated the launchers for 6.61, though.

Some people prefer to stay on lower firmware or without customized flash.
Atm i´m not sure if a me-cfw via lightspeed cann´t run an update without lose xmb comics install option.
.. more it´s kind of if someone run a ME2.3 update then boot into ofw then starting ME via comics = back on your ME1.8

Maybe not worse to stay on 1.8 if you don´t like to use last online-plugin, else.

At the end it doesn´t matter if a new ME gets released we both have to update installer^^

The launcher just loads files from the flash0. It does not behave like a HEN (which loads its modules on the fly).

If the 2.3 is installed, then ANY LME launcher will launch the 2.3.

I dont have to update LightSpeed, since the launcher stays the same. If the LME CFW has to be updated, you INSTALL the update via the LME Installer and then youre still able to use the "old & outdated" LightSpeed to successfully & fully launch it.
