PRO CFW Question

Hi. I read that you need a certain version of PRO CFW to run PSN-PS1 Games correctly, but then I read that the latest PRO CFW fixes an issue with DLC. That being said, is it worth it to have the one that fixes DLC over the one that will work with PSN Games? Note that my information may be very outdated, but I couldn't find any answers.
