pops or "Portable PlayStation"(something like that) Is the PS1 emu made by SCE, Different firmwares have a different pops and as such have different compatibilities to non PSN versions of games.

Popsloader does exactly what it says in that it lets you run any pops version from any firmware on any other firmware.

EDIT: PSAR dumper is used to dump firmwares to get the pops files from them but it's super easy to find a complete pack online.

Also, if I were to use PSX2PSP 1.4, does this have the ability to create multi discs into ONE big PBP file as well?

Actually, how do I use anything at all under seplugins directory again? I totally forgot this. Do I need to press some buttons before turning my PSP on or is there another way? For example CWCHEAT is under my seplugins as well. Probably very old too. Anyone knows how to use it again?
I never used that converter so IDK anything about it but I think it should let you make multi disk eboots.
As for plugins well those are easy, Plugins work based on what mode they are for.

VSH = the XMB
Game = Well when playing a game....
POPS = When playing PS1 games

Now first you would get a plugin for the mode you want, Let's say TempAR(The best cheat plugin on the PSP!).
K so you downloaded TempAR and made sure its compatible with the firmware you are on, You would then extract it and place it in your seplugins folder followed by adding the location of it to the game.txt.

For example "ms0:/seplugins/TempAR/tempar.prx 1" or for that cwcheat you have you will see "ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat.prx 1"

Now if you want to get really technical then plugins can be placed anywhere so long as you put its path in the appropriate text file but for simplicity sake we just use the seplugins folder.

That "1" BTW tells the PSP if its enabled or not, a "1" is on while "0" is off, once enabled tho and when you are in the mode for it then it will simply run, Just press whatever button combo it wants to use the plugin.

I know this is a terrible explanation but yea I suck at explaining things. D:
