Does pro c2 still work just the same? Is the only difference that I can't access PSN? I can still play PSone games from PSN and all that right?

Also is the 6.61 PRO Cf3 in the OP of this topic not fully operational?

Sorry for the barrage of questions but thanks for the info.

just update to either PRO-C2 (CIPL is optional depending on your PSP model and PS One games should work now) from qwikrazors other topic or use ME CFW (or LME depending on your PSP model). You can access PSN on CFW.

6.61 is a plague of a firmware and what do you mean access PSN? Play online, access store or both? Both should work fine (I haven't tried online since 6.61 was released).

PSN Access still works with 6.20 LME-2.3 perma and 6.60 ME/LME CFWs.

I did not test PRO CFW, but I assume both use the same functions to access the PSN.

Updating to 6.61 is not required at all, I would stick with 6.20 perma (new PSPs), 6.60 or 6.61 cIPL CFW (old PSPs) or 6.6x lcfw (newest PSPs).

Update your PSP 1000 from a sh!tty permanent patch CFW to a good cIPL CFW (regardless of it being PRO + cIPL or just ME).

I would update to 6.60 ME-2.3 or 6.61 ME-2.3.

If you, for some weird reason, prefer the PRO CFW, update to 6.60 PRO-C2f1 or 6.61 PRO-C2f1 and be sure to use the cIPL Installer for these too (like perma patch, just better - Only works on 1000 & old 2000s, though).

No corruption, PSN natively supported.

Sorry its taken me so long to get back on here. Thanks for the info.

I updated to 6.61 in order to access the PS Store. By PSN I did mean the store and play online but I guess I could just not activate the firmware if that would affect it badly (although I would like to use it for ad-hoc WotL playing). I'm not terribly well-versed in other firmwares as PRO-CF3 was the only I ever used. I'm assuming PRO-C2 works the same way (and is installed in the same manner). I just wanted to be sure because the psp 3000 tutorial on the main site was for PRO-C3.

Thanks again

Regardless of your installed firmware, the ME & LME CFW is capable of visiting the PSN store and online gaming.

You dont have to update to 6.61.
