I did say thanks for those updates- online support.. great job!
It should be 1:1 the same readme from the regular ME CFW. I guess we were just too lazy to change it.

do i need to worry about anything just trying to run the installer?, should i update to 6.60 OFW first? sorry for the ridiculous questions, been out of the PSP game for many years

not sure if this PSP is using a TA-088v3 or not, it's a battlefront edition PSP

thanks for your time and help!
If you're running a 4.01 M33 CFW then it isnt an 88v3 motherboard.

You can either install 6.60 OFW & then add the ME CFW via its OFW Installer, or you directly install the ME CFW via its regular installer (will require a 660.PBP file).

How do i uninstall 6.61 ME 2.3 ? I tried to launch it again and there is no uninstall option , square button does nothing , attempting to reinstall OFW 6.61 also failed

If you only have a HEN PSP does it warn you in any way when trying to install the permanent ME ? If not , you really need to know what you are doing when using ME

Can you keep the installation folders of LME and ME on the same memory card ?

Any news for a permanent patch for Date Code 8c and higher ?

Not sure if this is the recommended way of doing it, but boot-up the PSP while holding the Home/PsButton (to launch it into OFW). Next grab Chronoswitch and a lower OFW and extract the PSP/GAME and PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder respectively. Then run Chronoswitch, downgrade, then upgrade back to 6.61 OFW.

The only way is to install PRO-C and then uninstall it.

Hi all, I've got 3 questions as I move forward with my reflashing an old PSP-1000 I haven't used in some years.

1) I'm considering the CFW from this thread as my first option: ME 6.61. However I've been told by other sources (some on this forum) that the latest PRO 6.61 is preferable, though not really any specifics as to why. Those of you using ME over Pro (especially the latest versions and especially on a CIPL flashable like the 1000), can you enumerate any differences between PRO and ME that would make one choose either over the other?

2) Assuming I am going to want to flash ME 6.61 over my current ME 6.60 1.8, can someone explain which download I use and the process briefly?

3) Is DAX format really both smaller AND faster than CSO? I did a couple of tests converting ISO to DAX and CSO and from a size perspective they were negligibly different. I didn't test loading times so I can't speak to that, but I want to know if it is worth converting everything over to DAX and if there are any downsides compared to CSO.

Thanks very much.
