too bad there is no way to store the launcher app for light/dark speed into flash. this would make a perma patch for all.

Not possible, since the XMB reads the path from ms0:/
If I could change the path, then we could create a perma patch. No way of editing the path without being able to do a perma or cIPL in the same case.

Its very much possible to redirect it to flash, I would highly advise against it tho.

Not when booting straight from OFW, since the paths are inside the modules. D:

This would be ultimate for a 6.60 permapatch, then you could format memory stick without loosing launcher. I wish I knew how to do it I would..... I been suggesting this since this plugin first showed up years ago.
Essentially any 07g/09g/e1000 could then run pro cfw or lme using light/darkspeed and always have lcfw with them even after format. This would make the need for a perma patch no longer required.

Oh yea! I forgot we are talking OFW
OK let me rephrase it, Yes its possible to edit the path in the module to look for the launcher in flash but unless we can encrypt and sign the prx after modding it will not run on OFW and would probably result in a semi-brick.
BTW even if we could resign it then this would be pointless as we could just make a perma-patch.
