Psn movies to external hd

Post by pancakes4ever » Wed Dec 04, 2013 2:45 am

Ugh... so years ago I made the mistake of buying a few movies/shows off of psn (I hope I was drunk or something) before realizing that the DRM that it came with them keeps me from playing them off an external hdd! Due to the large amount space these take up, I'm left spending more time backing up and unpacking, or redownloading/deleting than i do actually watching them. This is annoying.
Anyone found any way of unpackaging these backups or removing the drm? My google-fu is adequate yet my searches were less than fruitful. Psn+video+drm+removal is apparently to many keywords for other subjects. This makes me worry that I'm the only one who fell into this trap. I'm resigning myself to buying a new laptop hd to fix the problem but in a last ditch effort to save a little cash thought i'd check here first.

(If this is seen a mentioning of illegal content, since drm removal of digital content you own can somehow fall into a bit of a gray area, let me know and sorry in advance)

Yeah that's conclusion I came to as well. Cloud storage might work. Regardless, its probably time for a terrabyte hd anyway. AlaOn the other hand, I've also been thinking about an ssd but evidence of using one actually improving anything is inconclusive.
