need to stop system update

i have rebug 3.55.4 installed on my ps3. accidentally little one put uncharted dvd now its on system update i quickly turned it off.

how can i get out of the system update screen without updating

you shoulld have NEVER turned it off, you are lucky that it only asks you to update, it could have been a full brick.
Anyway I don't think you can stop the update anymore, that is if you still want your ps3 to work.
Remember that you can always mod it with an E3 flasher.

Also i think its possible for he to update from recovery menu to a higher cfw (rogero 4.41)

Yes, it is reccomended to update via the recovery menu, being OFW or CFW

the only time you can stop a sys update is during the download session
once it goes into install faze your stuck letting it update
and eating thrifty maid noodles because of it......seriously!?! off brand noodles.....ouch i got burned by tech support.....ouch........
