should i update rebug 3.55.4 rex

Sorry if this is kinda noobish. i have hacked plenty of consoles before but none confused me as much as this ps3. i have a 40gb fat CECHG01 that has rebug 3.55.4 rex currently installed, but I am confused on whether i should update it to the latest rebug 4.41.2 lite, rebug 4.30.2 rex, or just stay where i am.

Mainly what I want to do with my ps3 is use emulators, play backups, and at least temporarily access psn so I can redownload my games i previously purchased, don't care about psn access after that on ps3 mainly just use it for my vita but I don't have my vita for a while so i cant transfer my games to ps3 that way so have to get on psn to get games till get new vita. i dont care if i have to play ps1/2 backups from disc as all my games are already on disc and would be pain and waste of space to copy them to HDD but would like to play my ps3 games off HDD either internal or external because i cant afford blu-ray burner and disks. i have already swapped HDD out with a larger one so I'm not worried about the space they take up on HDD. if i update will it give me access to my psn so I can redownload my games and still give me access to play my ps1 backups. also can I do the psp2ps3 on 3.55 or do I have to update in order to do that.

Sorry for all the questions and it would be greatly appreciated if some1 could give me a hand and kind of fill me in on ps3 jailbreaking and how it works. ive put homebrew channel on wii and launched games from HDD and installed free mcboot on my ps2 to launch backups, but this is starting to go beyond my knowledge. i was only lucky enough to get this ps3 because it had the YLOD and I reflowed it to made it work again and just got lucky it had OFW 3.55

Alright, well no thanks to any1. every 1 says google b4 u ask a question. i googled for 4 days without an answer so i figured id ask so called experienced users for help and still 4 days later no1 wants to help. eventually just went at it blindly and installed 4.41.2 lite and when launching multiman i get BD-rom emulator problem. some functions may not work so i guess ill just figure out how to fix it on my own cuz asking yall for help is a waste of my time, so once again thanks for nothing

if your still wanting help
most emus only work on 3.55cfw

if you want psn the you'll have to update to the newest firmware, i suggest rex 4.46.2
(never load psn after a hb or non psn software, reset the system to clear game log before loading psn)set your psn NOT to auto log in

the only rebug firmware that doesn't support psn ps2 games is 4.20.1, as a bug, its patched in all the rest off the rebug firmwares

i don't know if your can run burnt games with anything other then multi-man loader

showtime is great for movies and internet video

yeah i know what you mean about the "go googlers" on here and how much they can detract from the forums, in the WORST POSSIBLE WAY!!!, il just stick with linking topics that have the answer if it's already been answered in a better way then i can explain as the answers these people are pointing toward can be very sort and confusing if language is a barrier ,
treat others as you wish to be treated and we all need help here and there

im kinda waiting for some stuckup user to tell one of the devs to google for an answer, or google for testers lol
