ps+ the auto update explained

Post by jd20dog » Wed Jun 19, 2013 6:42 pm

ive seen alot of people confuse what this is and what it dose

the auto update in ps+ is "NOT" going to update your ps3's fw
all sony ps3 fw updates have to have a user agree to the terms of use and other legal paperwork in person before the update can be installed (every time an updated ofw is to be installed you must agree to install it, this is how sony got out of liability over removing otherOS)

what the ps+ auto update "dose do" is it updates all newer saves to the psn savedata storage cloud, and downloads game patches for recently played games(somewhere within 15 days), at about 3-4o-clock in the morning for about an hour,, this is done to reduce time wasted on patch installs that cannot run in the background from impacting the users play time on the console. only games that you have selected to use cloud storage can store saves on psn so dont ever select a home-brew to backup its save online

so dont be scared that your cfw console will git updated to ofw while you sleep

ps please pick a poll iff you read my post so i know if im just bugging people or actually helping. thanks for reading my post
