QA Flag. As above it can help out with a few minor things, and doesn't hurt to enable. It has difficulty installing in many cases above 3.55, which makes it best to enable beforehand. It has no risk of brick.

And do i need to format my hdd and delete all multiman and other staf.

HDD, no. Firmware tools, probably. Homebrew/MM, no, not really. Some homebrew/etc need updates in order to run on high base firmware though. The latest MM I can locate is this one, 4.18.00 (4.40). It has 4.40 support, and it should have a 4.41 update available internally. (MM has been having server issues lately, so alot of the older links for downloads are down atm. Apologies.)
Be sure to use the CEX version inside.

Yes, rebug.me is the official rebug website. All links there are safe.
For the Toolbox, simply install the package, and then run the program. Scroll over to the Utilities menu inside, and toggle the QA Flag option to on. The images on the Rebug Toolbox page can help give an idea of how this looks. Once enabled, quit the toolbox using the Exit option on the leftmost page.
Then you can install Rebug 4.41.2 though the Update System Software option on the XMB.

If you own an E3 Flasher (or any kind really) and have QA Toggled, even if you do brick your console you can recovery the bricked console with a flasher (if you have one).

If you want to play later version games (such as 4.20) on 3.55, you would need an E3 Flasher to flash a modified Core_OS in order to play these games.
Personally, if you delete your PSN Account from the PS3, you don't have to worry about getting banned on a 4.30 CFW. Just don't use PSN at all because they can console ban your, well, console. (And the account that had the CFW detected).

I personally would suite for the 4.XX CFW (deleting my PSN from the system to ensure no bans are acquired)

Did you install REBUG CFW? multiMAN has practically nothing to do with updating your firmwares.

CEX (i recommend) because DEX (debug) can be a risk on bricking. CEX is a user based console/firmware type. DEX is a debug/dev kit console/firmware. SEX is a shop (like walmart, gamestop etc) firmware which demos the console.

Once you toggle QA Flag, use the 4.XX Rebug CFW you want from the Rebug website and update like you would no other.

REMEMBER! DONT USE PSN ON CFW!
They console ban you. Daily console ids are normally posted, but are banned within a day. You should be fine as long as it is not used online (PSN)
