New to the PS3 scene

First of all.... YES IM A NOOB lol. Im giving up on searching for a way to make my PS3 OFW 4.31 to CFW. everywhere i look theres a stupid video showing someone either installing CFW or downgrading,but come to find out...in order for that to happen it then tells me i need to do a stupid surveys. 1st of all IMHO i think the surveys are scams.its not a big secret so why do i have to do a stupid survey to receive files. Anyway...could someone help me with this. i have a PS3 Slim Cech-2501A OFW 4.31 and all i want to do is install CFW. Could anyone help if possible and thank you to whoever

@deejaydark07: We all were noobs at something, so there are plenty of websites that have noobfriendly tutorials, just google them.
and for your PS3 normaly it should be Downgraded to a lower firmware level, the Famous (3.55). In order to achieve that you need to check if your Base Firmware is lower than 3.55, from what i read 2504a is a 3.50 ( YOU NEED TO CHECK THAT TO BE 100% SURE ).
Then BUY a Hardware Flasher Options are:
-Progskeet
-teensy++
-E3 (Solderless)
Or Find a trusty person near you who will Downgrade your PS3 for money= this is what i did, saved me from a lot of troubles because i only needed a one time Downgrade y BASTA

Anything with surveys are scams. Plain as that.

Browsing and necro-posting are quite different.
Be sure to keep in mind some threads you've replied to had already been long answered.
As for older ones, well, its hardly fair to go back to a post from say Nov 2010 and reply that they should stop using HBL and install Pro-CFW on their PSP.
