Didn't get to play MGSO1. MGSO2 was very fun and uniquely different. Unfortunately I didn't play it very much because the servers were horribly optimized, my then DSL connection worked on all online games except MGSO. Expecting good things from the new one.

That's how I'd have described MGO1 as well, Unique. Although there were quite a few big changes between the games it still felt like a MGO game. I think if they keep the same formula of making sure it says unique and fun then they'll be on to a winner.

I really hope they haven't tried to "westernise" it too much in an attempt to get more people playing it.
