@codestation, yeah I see some comments but some of them are not enough with my knowledge
btw, try to ask coldbird, he is also doing the same thing for patching method of PSP2i
He can modify the string limiter i guess, you might want him to ask some codes

Any suggestion for a good font to use in the bottom bar or i continue to use the current one (monospace 8px)? (it has to look good at 8 pixel height).
It would be nice to use a font like the Project DIVA Extend logo. I add some pictures of the work that I'm doing translating your files, really, thank you very much, sorry for my bad english XD!!

I disagree. At the sizes used in Project Diva, highly styled fonts tend to be difficult to read.

That's true, I was wrong, I suggested the font for the top bar, sorry, in fact, even the font that I use for the bottom bar is too big XD!!

I have to talk about a resource that can be useful for translating the game. I know that the creator of the said to avoid online tranlators, but this is not only a tranlator:

http://nihongo.j-talk.com/kanji/

It translates Hiragana and Kanji to Romaji and also can translate particle by particle(by choosing the "Detailed word info"), so even if you don't know Japanese you can have an idea of what it means, and if you know some Japanese i'm pretty sure that it can help you to translate the entire game.

Hard to say, the lyrics are hardcoded to be 40 chars max so in a lot of parts the translation isn't gonna fit. If i or somebody else finds the limiter then it can be done.
Hmmm... That 40 chars limit has been around since first diva. At least first translation patch offered romanji lyrics and had few workarounds for limit: WritingLikeThis and simply putting ... if it didn't fit. One workaround is to simplify lyrics.
Stupid guestions: Does it calculate western letters same size as kanji ones (I remember Kanji's taking more space than regular letters)? Maybe they intended that so lyrics actually fit on screen? Could it be possible to split lyrics and add more timing rules on songs? I dunno :?

Also your plugin seems to be most awesome thing in whole translating scene. Everyone is translating this in multiple languages! This should be the future like you said :D

Just checked it, they raised the limit to 50 chars but still is too litle, in some translated lyrics it reaches 60-65 characters. Anyway, when i finish a good chunk of the edit mode i will look into the lyrics again.

I was looking into dabbling into a translation a bit myself, and I have to say, I'm extremely impressed with what you have here. But I must ask, will you be limiting file replacement to just images for the purpose of translation, or will you also allow igb, dsc, and aix files as well for the other CPK containers?

The gameplay, field, animation, and audio data of Project Diva Extend appears to be 100% identical to the levels used in Project Diva 2. Theoretically, you could swap these files in memory and run other Project Diva 2 stages which were not included in Extend.

In fact, if this hot-swap of levels is successful, with more documentation, this could be the first step into true custom stages in the Project Diva series.
