I tried that:

VSH.TXT:
ms0:\seplugins\usbgamepad.prx 0
ms0:\seplugins\FuSaSCR.prx 0
ms0:\seplugins\umd_dump.prx 0
ms0:\seplugins\cxmb.prx 1
ms0:\seplugins\dayviewer.prx 1
ms0:\seplugins\mp3play_lite.prx 0
ms0:\seplugins\hold.prx 0
GAME.txt:
ms0:\seplugins\FuSaSCR.prx 0
ms0:\seplugins\mp3play_lite.prx 0
ms0:\seplugins\umd_dump_simple.prx 0
ms0:\seplugins\nploader.prx 1
ms0:\seplugins\divapatch\divapatch.prx 1
POPs.txt:
ms0:\seplugins\FuSaSCR.prx 1
ms0:\seplugins\mp3play_lite.prx 0

In recovery menu:
No DRM Engine: Disabled

Also:

PSP Language: English.
PSP 3000 CFW PRO-C 6.60.

The problem persists.

I try to open the game and the screen goes black for 10 seconds, then it shuts down. If i disable the patch (ms0:\seplugins\divapatch\divapatch.prx 0) the game works...but in japanese.

You are running the game from the UMD or ISO? if is the 2nd one then make sure that is unpatched (no boot.old inside the iso).

The game is not patched or anything.

But i still checked it with UMDgen.

There are no .old files.

Maybe is my CFW?

The patch site says 5.xx and my firmware is PRO-C 6.60. However, people encourage to upgrade to 6.60.

I spent hours searching about this problem, but can't find any information.

Around page 22 someone had a similar problem:
And I know why my PSP crashes with my translation for Project DIVA 2nd#: the offsets were not good (thx for the tips) and my txt file was not encoded in Shift-JIS
However, im not sure what exactly are the "offsets".

It seems to be a problem with the images, remove/rename the image folder and the patch will work.

You can try to email Sonic DX about the problem, maybe he has the image offsets wrong or the edited images are too big.

Thanks for answer.

So far i have tried the following:

1. Delete menu_base_1.png, menu_help_1.png and menu_base_2.png.
2. Checked the ISO with UMDGEN, there is no .old file.
3. Renamed ISO to original name (ULJM05681).
4. Delete edit_base_4.png image.
5. Delete menu_base_1.png, menu_help_1.png and menu_base_2.png, and putting divapatch.prx in the seplugin folder, instead of the divapatch folder in seplugin.
6. Disabled all the plugins.
7. Left "NoDRM" as disabled in the recovery menu.
8. Delete menu_base_1.png, menu_help_1.png and menu_base_2.png, and putting divapatch.prx in the divapatch folder.

All failed.

I have discovered something: having divapatch.prx 1 will in GAME.TXT will ALWAYS crash ANY GAME[/b].

I tried opening other game completely unrelated to project diva (yggdra union, disgaea afternoon of darkness, etc) and PSP crashed.

Its not that "ms0:\seplugins\divapatch.prx 1" will crash a project diva 2nd#, it will crash any game i try to open, even if they are not related to project diva. There is something about it that will crash any game the PSP tried to open, even if said game is not affected by the patch.

Also, even if divapatch.prx is not in the path game.txt says it is, it will crash the game anyway.

For example:

Game.txt says:
ms0:\seplugins\divapatch.prx 1

But if put divapatch in:

ms0:\seplugins\divapatch\divapatch (a location different of the one in dame.txt)

The PSP will crash with any game anyway.

I think this is very unusual.

Try with the plugin on the 1st page of this thread, maybe Sonic DX did some changes to my plugin in his version (the plugin shouldn't crash any other game since it suspend itself and do nothing until a project diva game is loaded). I just tried with my plugin and his translation and the patch works fine on my end (without the image folder since it seems to be a problem with some image but i don't know what one).

I was able to run the iso with the "ms0:\seplugins\divapatch\divapatch.prx 1" (enabled) in VHS.

However...in japanese.

Image

Im guessing the patch should show all that (or 50%?) in english.

After many tests i reached these conclusion:

-divapatch.prx (only the prx of this post and not the images, the extend prx) doesn't crash the PSP.

-divapatch.prx (of wikispaces patch site) crash the PSP.

-divapatch.prx (of wikispaces patch site) crash ONLY the project diva game even with nploader.prx disabled/deleted from game.txt .

-nploader.prx is what is crashing the PSP and any game.

-Menu_base_1.png, menu_help_1.png and menu_base_2.png are not affecting anything, i tested deleting them and adding them and the iso runs normally with the divapatch.prx of this post and deleting "ms0:\seplugins\nploader.prx 1" from game.txt.

I deleted:

"ms0:\seplugins\nploader.prx 1" and replace the divapatch.prx of wikispaces with the one of this post and was able to run the game, however it was in japanese.

So i tried to replace the nploader with this one:

viewtopic.php?f=28&t=4997

PSP crashed.

I don't know why i need nploader...im not running any DLC for now.

I thought that you were using DLC since you mentioned nploader. Just disable it then.

This does nothing since the plugin needs to be enabled in game.txt.

Lets do this:

* Create the folder divapatch inside seplugins.
* Use the plugin in the 1st post and place in the divapatch folder.
* Use the diva2nd#_translation.bin and diva2nd#_images.bin from the zipfile and place it in the divapatch folder.
* Dont copy the diva2nd# folder inside divapatch folder.

The line in the game.txt should be: ms0:/seplugins/divapatch/divapatch.prx 1

My mistake.

I meant to say "I was able to run the iso with the "ms0:\seplugins\divapatch\divapatch.prx 1" (enabled) in GAME.txt."

Im going to post some images:

The reason i post them is because the error may be around there.

Ok.

Basically:

Inside PSP\seplugins\divapatch:

divapatch.prx (from first post, from extend rar file)
diva2nd#_translation.bin (from patch)
diva2nd#_images.bin (from patch)

Deleted the diva2nd# folder with many images inside.

In the game.txt

ms0:\seplugins\divapatch\divapatch.prx 1

(There is no nploader.prx in game.txt)

After do that the game runs in japanese. There is no crashing even if add the image folder.

Wait a minute!
Renamed ISO to original name (ULJM05681).
Thats the ID from PjD 2nd, Okaidoku Ban ID is NPJH50475. Thats why the patch doesn't work, isn't supposed to work in your version (even the savedata ID is NPJH50475LISTXX).

I know that PjD 2nd 1.01 and Okaidoku Ban is "exactly" the same game but sadly the eboot.bin is different so all the offsets are different. Sonic DX must have done the translation with Okaidoku Ban since it made more sense at that time.
