Maybe, but the fact is that he's asking about the console, not the games. PS2's graphical hardware is better. Also don't foget PSP's screen resolution, which is lower than a standard TV, thus having less pixels to process.

Indeed, as the personal preference for beauty can be a factor, and so is the budget and time allowances for a games development.

I think it was the PS2 in comparison to the PSP.

I got a nice laugh seeing Quake II run in 1080p on my computer (especially as it could without needing a mod.)
