I have replaced one folder located at ud0:/PSP2UPDATE with 0 bytes file called PSP2UPDATE. So, now PS Vita never asking me for updates and can't download it automatically. Good luck.

Well it's kinda in accurate. You need to place a null file named PSP2UPDATE.PUP inside the ud0:/PSP2UPDATE folder. You must make it read only and it will error out only once then if you try again the system will create the folder again and proceed with the update.

Luckily I deleted the update prior to install. This is only temp and only works if you do as I said. Removing the folder and placing just a null file the system will make a new folder and download the update. And if you don't make the null PUP file read only it simply over writes it and downloads the PUP. So it can block one update attempt but needs to be redone every time an update is attempted.

Sony silently has been pushing updates on-the PS4 even on non PS+ members and having the update option not checked. They forced me from 3.55 to the silent 4.01 update. If I didn't have a 1.76 system I would be super ***.

I attempted that but the system deletes it then makes a new one. This method does work to stop a one time accidental update. Which would be amazing seeing as how Sony has been pushing updates on PS4 owners. I had updates disabled and it bypassed 4.00 but then the silent 4.01 was forced onto my system. And I am not the only one this happened to either. I know a new PS3 update is around the corner as devs behind Rebug and more are prepping for it now as someone got a hold of one of the Beta firmware for the new PS3 5.00 firmware. I expect the Vita to not be to far behind.

How did you make this file readonly? I cannot change it to 444 only 644. Even if I transfer with permissions 444 through ftp it changes to 644 (rwrr)

Use the Fix Permissions app for the Vita by endrift that may help you with the problem.
