CPU Clock isnt broken (i think), I think Vita games are like PC games that means they profit from CPU clock but they are not so CPU heavy that you can see it.Mithrot wrote:Hey guys! Since you improved the original plugin, I hope you can answer this question. Is the CPU clocking function broken? Across all versions of Amphetamin this seems to be the case. 111Mhz-444Mhz doesn't seem to affect performance.
Additionally, why do certain games restrict 222mhz GPU?
And some games block 222MHZ GPU clock, because the Vita has a TDP limit that we still can not bypass, thats usually the case when the CPU needs the power so there wouldnt be enough power on the GPU to run 222MHZ stable. (This should be correct as im very experienced with ARM-CPU overclocking) We could get around this with modifing the os0: , but since the libraries dont allow us to change VCore (CPU Voltage) we wouldnt get the system stable. (And i domt think you want your games to random crash while playing)
Hope this helped
Edit: Im testing overclocking with my Vita TV right now because it seems VTV hasnt got the low TDP limit (probably because its not running on battery) and as you can see on Main.c my plugin is allready updated to support OCs up to 1,9Ghz CPU, 988Mhz GPU and 778Mhz BUS... I just have to be able to change VCore... else I wont get over 778MHz CPU, 554Mhz GPU and BUS directly crashes under load...
