v.1.1 released!
This homebrew really deserved an update, this new version has a bit better framerate, soundtrack support finally working as intended and reworked controls (similar to vitaQuake).

Changelog:
- Rebinded menu controls to a more natural style (vitaQuake configuration).
- Fixed CDAudio playback, now works as inteded.
- Fixed Controller Vibration effect calibration on PSTV. Now works as inteded.
- Now CDAudio tracks can be provided even with standard filenames (casa1, casa2, etc...)
- Optimized rendering code, slight frameboost as result.

I can confirm it works.
Any idea where I might be going wrong?

I've tried these locations:
\data\Hexen II\cdtracks
\data\Hexen II\data1\cdtracks

I've tried these naming schemes:
casa1.ogg
track02.ogg
track002.ogg

I also notice a loud, short "static" sound when booting up the game - Maybe related?

The vpk I downloaded has the following MD5 checksum:
7F46B1CE6E7307096FFE72210AE4C212

In current release, for a bug, only mid audio files are supported.
But, if you rename all your .ogg files in .mid files i think it should be ok too.

Actual midi audio files didn't work, but renaming the .ogg files like you suggested did the trick.

I tried these locations:
\data\Hexen II\cdtracks (works)
\data\Hexen II\data1\cdtracks (didn't work)

I tried these naming schemes:
casa1.mid (didn't work)
track02.mid (works)

Because of naming scheme, is it not possible to have both original and Portals expansion music loaded simultaneously?

Correct, cdtracks is already fixed in Github repo but not pushed into a new release cause will be part of the next update brining vitaGL support.

Name scheme for expansion soundtrack should be mp_track02.ogg to mp_track12.ogg. But I can't confirm if it works because on my Vita, music doesn't work at all, even after renaming .ogg to .mid! Hope this fill be fixed soon.
Any chance that the inofficial patched versions 1.15 will be supported in future releases?

The game works quite well, however, there is a serious problem - save game does not work properly: / I wanted to finish the game, but I had to start three times because each time the save game did not want to read ... Unfortunately, this is always and after some time always this problem appears (when I want to load the game, the screen with the hexen2 logo appears and the game freezes. This is not always the case - save game and load game works correctly at the beginning of the game, but the farther we play the problem, the more often it makes it impossible to play sensibly.
