What use is a downgrade? I'd be more interested in a CFW (for either just ePSP or VITA-native). Or a HENkaku perma-patch. Or upgrade-protection so when the VITA tries to download an upgrade, it will fail, even in Kiosk-mode (IDU).

Looks like MajorTom simply unmounts the partiton then re-mounts the same with rw permissions. Be interesting to see if the VITA memory card supports multiple partitions (like 1st and 2nd Emu/RedNAND partitions on a 3DS SD card) and if you can mount one as a system partition. You could experiment with things then a simple reboot will restore the system partition to the internal nand.

But i think it will rebuild database every switch... on my 64gb it's extremly long and explode all my bubble folder, then i need to recreat every folder and reboot cause i have more apps than pannel can handle :evil:
