Converting PSP ISOs to PKG Files

Post by Patrick327 » Tue Aug 16, 2016 2:13 am

I have a theory on getting PSP games on your PS Vita but I'm not sure if it would even be possible to convert ISOs to PKG's. But I successful installed a Netflix PKG, it said I had to upgrade the firmware :(, just by changing the PKG to ZIP and putting the folder inside it into the folder u0/bgdl/t, restarted my vita and installed the package through the notifications center, anyway I figured if I could get a PSP game in PKG format than it should work the same way, the question I have is, is there anyway to convert ISOs to PKG files?

Yes you can package PSP games and can even sign them for use in OFW but the Vita still needs a license for it or it refuses to run anything.

I was wondering of trying the same thing but with games I own that are not possible to transfer like crash bandicoot, since I have the license file on my PSP for it.

That might work but will you be logged into the same psn acc as the game owner i.e. you

That actually might work, Problem is installing the game to begin with but since you can grab the license from a PSP it might just do it.

If this was possible, that would be great. I would love to get Phantasy Star Portable running on my vita, but it's only available on PSP not Vita.

You don't even need to convert them. You just can download the .pkg directly from Sonys servers: http://hackinformer.com/PlayStationGuid ... slinks.txt
Blue PSP 3004: 6.61 LME-2.3 ∞
White PSP go N1004: 6.61 LME-2.3 ∞
Black PS Vita 1004: 3.60 変革-10 Ensō
Black PS TV 1016: 3.60 変革-10 Ensō

Ok I'm downloading the .pkg for Spyro 3
Where should I put my license file?
