Best way to prepare for updating FW3.60 in the future?

Post by Beatnukem » Thu Aug 04, 2016 6:19 am

Hi,

I own a PSVita with 3.18 and a PSTV with 3.20.
I use both TN-V and TN-X and don't want to loose them yet.
Is there any way I can download FW3.60 onto the device and/or to OpenCMA/qcma without installing?

So when Sony releases 3.61 I can still just update to 3.60 without faking an update server/search thru the interwebs to find a download of 3.60?

Cheers

PSTV allows you to use a flash drive with a PUP on it to update from recovery menu. Easy enough.

As for the regular Vita, there's a tutorial about updating to specific versions through OpenCMA: viewtopic.php?f=52&t=23013

So yeah, you're covered just fine.
