Cool game
Although its really buggy.
(pressing start make it crush, each time you enter a new room the revitalize image pops in. pressing select makes it stuck and sometime it takes a lot of time to load the game\ )

Is there an end to it? couldn't get the little guy out of the cave, although I did find more interesting things than mushrooms.

There is a special screen with a special boss. Find what to do with that boss and your hero will be free!

But if you are 40 screens away from starting screen, then you went too far. No need to go further in that direction unless you want to find more locations where you can find red mushrooms.

Effectively start button does horrible things

In the game code I just end program when it is hit.

When revitalize splash screen appears first, just tap screen or any button (except start)
to actually start game

To pause hit only select to get a second revitalize splash screen, then select again to resume game

To exit game press the ps button and unfold it as any other app to stop it
(on ps tv keep circle button pressed for 3 secs in order to unfold app and stop it)

I removed sceKernelExitProcess(0); from source code, maybe it s why it ends badly.

vpk updated in the download archive. Start button will no longer do anything.
