Can't get RetroArch working?

Post by zekepliskin » Tue Nov 24, 2015 1:05 pm

So I downloaded a multifile archive with the various different emulators in it. I can run them find from Rejuvenate but it seems like the menus glitch, so when you go to install the core packages etc pressing X to go back does nothing and I can't run the emulators. Is there a solution for this? Thanks.

Each elf file contains a different emulation core. So, for instance, if you load one of the two SNES emulators, once the elf/velf is loaded, simply load your content, which is the rom. There's no way to switch cores at the moment without exiting Unity and reloading Retroarch.

This was a few days ago but IIRC I tried to load a game via one of the SNES emulators and it moaned it needed core files. I went to download these ZIPs in the appropriate menu and it broke the UI, i.e. the X button didn't work to go back so you can't load anything.

See, I never needed to download any zips to run the emulator. You're right that accidentally trying to load a core will effectively lock the program, but it's not necessary to do so.

Ah okay, I assumed that because it tells the user it needs core files the emulator wouldn't work without them. Interesting... look forward to trying this. Thanks!
