List of SNES emulators on Vita I've tried, using Super Mario Kart or Donkey Kong Country as a base game on my 3.18/Unity 1.05 Vita (333mhz clock speed for homebrew only):
  • SNES9xVITA - Most accurate emulation, very glitchy sound at points, slowest. Good GUI.
  • CATSFC RetroArch - Quite accurate emulation, slightly glitchy sound, slow in places it seems. GUI can glitch, not easy to find options (i.e. frameskip to try and make Star Fox playable).
  • CATSFC-libretro-vita 1.1.0 - Quite accurate emulation with full GUI. Both controllers on at once makes certain titles unplayable.
  • CATSFC-libretro-20150823 - Quite accurate emulation with best speed. Ugly GUI, no savestates, no fit to screen scaling but best emulator overall.
This would have been the best SNES emulator on the Vita... but Super Mario Kart is unplayable as has been mentioned, I'm sure that applies to a few other games as well. Other than that, good effort.

I wonder how easy it would be to get the source code and fix this issue in lieu of the developer doing it? Any tips would be appreciated, I don't mind trying to get it recompiled via vitasdk or whatever but as I'm not really a coder I'd appreciate hints on where to look. Seems like the thing to do as it hasn't been updated for a while to my knowledge.
