Screenshot of what? VHL is a loader and psp2shell is just a simple text menu.

Well, if you've read the OP, it's 'custom PSM splashscreen cool' ;)

The splash doesnt seem to work. Placed it in VitaDefilerClient/System/splash.png, and nothings changed. And yes I have restarted the exploit several times.

edit: I want to correct the above statement, the splash does work - but it only started working after I rebooted the Vita.

How do you copy things over to the Vita?

In think one of the most important things that need to be implemented is a standard function for all HENs (UVL, VHL, CFW, etc) that returns an identifier for such HEN so that homebrews can be coded in a way that it does HEN specific code without having to recompile.
It is also important to have a standard way of running executables (homebrews), if possible plain and simple ELF, to allows for menus to work on different HENs without much modifications.

Do you guys have any hope for this to work independently from a computer soon?
I mean, rejuvenate is nice and fine, but in the long run nobody would turn on his computer every single time he wants to play his vita/select a new game. That's just far too inconvenient.

So does rejuvenate (potentially) open up the vita for access similar to the PSP, (enabling CFWs etc.),
or is the PSM-workaround definitely unavoidable?
Because now that Sony seems to have fixed that bulletproof for the next update and the PSM solution is anyway quite inconvenient, I seriously worry that it might have no big future... :/
