Individual emulators instead of retroarch?

Post by Matthewsavant »

I’m just setting up my PS vita now and I noticed that there are certain emulators missing from the Homebrew browser (Like an NES emulator) I understand that pretty much all of the classic consoles can be played in Retroarch but so far I’m really not feeling the layout and configuration of Retroarch (Unless I’m really missing something of not understanding something) and I think I’d rather have individual emulators per console.
I have the individual emus for:
Game boy
Game boy advance
Neogeo pocket
Sega master system (that doesn’t really work)
And SNES
Are there more individual emulators or is everyone essentially using Retroarch?
I’ve seen screen shots that seem to show others but I’m just not finding them.
Could anyone give me any direction or advice or should I just figure out how to use Retroarch?

So here's my setup of emulators:
  • NES: NesterJ
  • Genesis/MegaDrive: PicoDrive
  • SNES: CATSFC-libretro-vita
  • Game Boy (Color) / Sega Master System: MasterBoy
  • GameBoy Advance: UO gpSP kai
Hope that helps.

Yeah, I've never been keen on RetroArch either. Feels too awkward, and glitchy to me.
Much prefer individual emulators.
