Regarding PS Vita Battery Voltage

Post by bobtaylor35 »

Okay, I need to know can I use a 3.8v battery on a ps vita. The reason I ask is because finding a 3.7v is hard and the ones that supply this are smaller in capacity and not good. I can not buy a replacement Sony one as none are available in my country and nor do i have the patience to order one overseas (bad experience so never again)

So I got a similar size battery I found, its from Amazon, an official Samsung mobile phone lithium ion battery but its rated at 3.8v not 3.7 and capacity wise its 2800 mah.

hence would this be fine to use in the vita as its only 0.1v over the original 3.7v output.

I'm only replacing as my sony one is only lasting roughly 45 mins I've had it since launch and now its just barely even holding an hours worth of charge.

any help on Voltage and ion batteries would be appreciated.
