How to delete id.data from a "corrupted" memory card?

I was trying to restore a back up and it may have been a dumb idea, the sony software recognized my vita was 3.60 and "blocked" my memory card. I can no longer view it and i get the "You must update the system software" message everything I boot up the vita, and the "to use the memory card you must update the system software" message after the initial message. I heard all i have to do si delete the id.dat file however how exactly can I do that if the vita wont read my card making it impossible to view it with vita shell or molecularshell, both of which are installed on the memory card? its a catch 22
