Package installer not working on 2.02 Vita

Hey guys, yesterday I tried getting my email accounts set up on my 2.02 Vita so that I could send the package unlocker request to it. Well I succeeded today by using both a yahoo account and a gmail account. Both accounts get the email from wololo but neither one work. Nothing is displayed in the message besides "This file is not compatible with the PS Vita System".

Any ideas?

I'll bump this once, I did a little research about this and found a few comments in the first article released about the package installer saying that others have had trouble getting it to run on 2.02 as well. Maybe it's just not possible, who knows.

Well *** and I thought I did a decent job searching. Thanks for the post anyways, at least now I know to give up for now. Maybe SMOKE will get his ROP tool to include FW under 2.05 as well.

You need to lauch it via vitasploit id is NPXS10031,

For 2.02 - 2.12

This method is the most complex since it needs you to set up the Webkit Exploit environment and apply some changes. This is necessary since the e-mail trick doesn't work on older Firmwares!

What you will need to do:
1) open the "vitasploit-master/include/tests.js" file

2) uncomment "//Test_SupportURI();" -> "Test_SupportURI();"

3) change the URI function like this: sceCallSupportUri("psgm:open?titleid=NPXS10031")

4) Run the server.py and connect your Vita to the displayed IP

5) If you've done everything correctly the PKG Installer should open up automatically

Have FWs under 2.02 ever worked? I've tried to use the browser from 1.81 a couple times, but I don't believe anything can successfully launch (though the TitleID may be different), and obviously the Email app is out since it doesn't exist on that firmware.

Firmwares below 2.00 do not have the email app as you said and it needs the app in order to work. SMOKE's VitaROP tool supports 1.80 and 1.81 if I remember correctly, the URL should be posted on hackinformer.
