jokes aside, does this work on the latest scph-90000 models? I'd like to try on mine but it has a modchip so the end result would not be trustworthy

No idea as I don't have a 90k but it works on my 79001

Did FMCB ever work on the 90k?
I know Sony did eventually fix it but all my PS2s are rather old :3

No it will not work Sony in their usual way remove update from MC from 90000 models
So only way is mod chip for those if you are real lucky and have first model of those then it should work but after it is removed completely

Nice to see the PS2 scene is not dead yet! This is great news but unfortunately of no use to my PS2, as I have set up my matrix infinity to boot from DEV2 and open codebreaker/HDL on boot
