Re: The Ultimate PS2 Thread
Hmmm.. There's homebrew to play PS2 games, I can't think of any right now but there probably is, I also know that there are many emulators. It doesn't have an N64 emulator but it does have a homebrew-developed PS1 emulator as well as SNES and older.
The PS2 is known for homebrew apps, not games. The best (in my opinion) is Open PS2 Loader, it can load .iso backups of your PS2 games through the USB port, Ethernet port, and for Fat PS2s, the addable internal HDD. The speeds are very fast, especially for the Ethernet and the internal HDD (the internal HDD pretty much loading 2x faster than the original DVD). It really comes in handy, especially if your laser is broken and doesn't read PS2 games anymore.
Another very handy PS2 homebrew app is SMS player, allows you to play DivX and XviD .avi files, as well as .mp3 files from a USB, Ethernet, internal HDD, and also CD/DVD. It is extremely eye pleasing because it can output to a very crisp 720p or 1080i with component video cables and a HDTV.
ESR is probably the most known one, a program to load backup games from the CD/DVD drive. You have to use ESR Disc Patcher, a PC application that patches your PS2 .iso. After you patch it, you can burn it to a DVD (preferably DVD-R (I think...)) and then play it on your PS2. The loading is the same as on the regular disc, obviously. The trick is that when you patch the game and play it on the console, the PS2 thinks it is a DVD video and doesn't use the necessary precautions to look out for the backup and stop it.
Well, that's the most of it, you can contact me if you need help setting up anything or anything in general. Thanks

Re: The Ultimate PS2 Thread
Do you have GSModeSelector? It kind of runs like a PSP plugin. It allows the GS in the PS2 to output to 480p, 720p, and 1080i (but 1080i is really the only one worth it, 720p has a lot of problems and the only game I got to work in 480p is Goldeneye Rogue Agent (but it was very, very crisp.))Casavult wrote:Lol, I have all them apps but thanks anyway.
Re: The Ultimate PS2 Thread
Nope, I haven't got that. Is it worth using though? I mean if it has a lot of problems it's not really worth using, right?

Re: The Ultimate PS2 Thread
It is worth using, 1080i works for I'll say 90% of the games, while 480p works for about 30%. 720p isn't worth using, but 1080i and 480p are. You should try it though, it comes in handy.Casavult wrote:Nope, I haven't got that. Is it worth using though? I mean if it has a lot of problems it's not really worth using, right?

If you know anything about coding/programming/manipulating savedata then you could certainly give it a try.Salahkun wrote:is there any way to make a exploit like the 007 agent under fire to install free mc boot ?
