No thats not what I meant. Did you run the firmware tool? If you did, what did it say your lowest firmware is?

Ok i will try it, i just dont understand the difference between an OFW and a base firmware.

OFW is the original firmware provided by Sony, without any customization, you already know that. The base firmware is the least firmware a PS3 can run, & this firmware is the one which the first products of a specific model come with.

Not all 2k PS3's are downgradable. You need to run that Firmware Tool!
