Good to hear. I'm a specialist in last hours various disasters like version crash, internet connection lost, electricity shortage, gaz explosion, plane crash and apocalypse . Anyway I'll do my best to ship the as many features as I can in the final release.

I hope there's one next year, or maybe in the summer. It being in the summer gives people who are in school a lot more time to program their entries. I was planning on entering this one but I found other projects the work on (which I'm still working on, surprisingly =S.)

Yep I hope too. And don't bother if you can't find sponsor or any financial rewards, real devs don't programm for money but for enjoyment and sometimes for repute .
If I can suggest something : make a contest with only games (no plugins or shell or utils... ) this time : it's really funnier and creative .

I wouldn't mind a game only competition, or split categories even if it meant less prize money. (Assuming there's a prize for the next one) Like half of the pot goes to the game top 3, and other half goes to plugin/app top 3.

That said, it doesn't look like I'll be finishing my game at all. If I do, I doubt I'll have time to even really test it... C'est la vie.

we could probably still hold much smaller contests here, with a single prize of 100$ or something. The main problem is unfortunately the time required to organize the contest. Believe it or not, it takes roughly 10h of my free time every week and we haven't even started to judge yet

I also like the idea of "game only" contests, right now I must admit I have no clue how we will handle the ranking without being unfair to some people. There are so many good entries

It's too late this year for that, but if we do another contest, yes, I'll definitely get some "moderators" for the contest (accepting/locking entries, etc...)
