Re: OSLib Type Writing effect?

Ok so I have declared my string char * string[] = {"blah blah blah"}; Now how would I go about displaying one character at a time from the string(or char?) I looked up |int sprintf ( char * str, const char * format, ... );| and I tried implementing it but old habbit is wanting to use oslDrawString :...

Re: OSLib Type Writing effect?

This function is meant to display char * strings, not char as the compiler tells you. You'd have to recreate a char* string with only the character you want and then '\0' for such a thing to work, basic C knowledge you could also format a big enough char* string using sprintf(string, format, ...) a...

[SOLVED]OSLib Type Writing effect?

I am currently trying to add some flare to my game. It's easy to just print a string on the screen but it would be cool to have the string type out letter by letter. I have this so far(after searching for a while) char str[] = {"Place any text that you want here."}; int len = strlen(str); for(int i=...

Re: Sequel to Soul Blazer for competition

Thanks for the first two comments! So far I have gotten the Intro, Title, Menu, GUI and couple sprites working. Working pretty smoothly so far. Map and collision is next. As for Illusion of Gaia being considered as Soul Blazer 2, I only find that as opinion. Therefore actually creating a game that c...

Sequel to Soul Blazer for competition

Not sure if many of you know about the game Soul Blazer(think Actraiser, Illusion of Gia, Terranigma) but it was released in the early 90s for the Super Nintendo. It has always held a special spot for me in all video games as one of my all time favorites. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1...

Re: How to submit your entry

I will confirm this with the judges, but here is a first answer Thank you for the quick reply. I guess I should have just submitted it and hoped for the best ;) lol but if people or the judges would have played the original then it would have been a dead giveaway. I only asked the question because ...

Re: How to submit your entry

Quick question Mr. Wololo: I am currently programming a game for this competition and would like to know if it is valid in case I need to hash the project and start over. The game I am programming would be a sequel to a SNES game. For example: Chrono Trigger(not the game so don't get your hopes up g...
