Re: Why can the PS Vita emulate PSP games as well as it does
Vita doesn't emulate PSP. There's a PSP CPU inside the Vita. They can do it because it's cheap and small. Isn't technology amazing? Ha, always wondered about it since I saw a discussion about whether the psp emulation is achieved by software/hardware. Good to finally know for sure. Can you tell why...

Re: PSP games on PS Vita
nearly all psp games work on the vita(with the exception of a few free promotional games they gave out for pspgo owners) sony just doesn't allow you to download most of them. this is unlikely to change, there are some licensing issues so sony can probably get into a bit of trouble if they make all g...

Re: Flashdrive loading
it almost certainly won't work. reading a flashdrive(or actually communicating with any peripheral) is more than just "plug fits hole" you'd need a usb host controller(chip) in the device to be able to communicate with anything other than a PC, and then you'd also need software that knows how to int...

Re: HELP : FTP opens in Google Chrome !!
did you add ftp:// before the address?
if you type an ftp address without ftp:// in explorer it will open in the default browser.

Re: word up on windows 8 port to android tablets?
windows 8 will not run on android tablets. android tablets use ARM processors and windows 8 only works on X86(32bit) and X86_X64(64bit) processors. people did get some older X86 versions of windows running, but that was done through an emulator which increases the system requirements a lot, and make...

Re: psp emulator for android?
it's harder to get 100% compatibility if you change things, it costs more cpu/gpu power, and it shortens batterylife. and people would be less likely to pay €40+ for a game if they can get a previous version that looks almost as good for €5. they just don't want to risk competing with themselves, an...

Re: psp emulator for android?
read again. sure if you scaled psp games to a higher resolution(like the vita does) the pixels would just get bigger, but ppsspp can render 3D games at your device's native resolution. that means the pixels aren't made bigger, but more pixels are drawn. wipeout pulse in 272p(psp resolution) http://i...

Re: psp emulator for android?
there's a simple reason why ppsspp is still useful even if you have a psp.
psp games look much better when rendered at 720p, even 480p(vga/wvga) would look much better.

Re: How Do I port PC games onto the PSP?
I'm pretty sure it's possible, but not in this case because there are some requirements for porting a game. the game needs to have low system requirements or an easy way to drastically reduce the requirements. you need access to the source code. the game needs to be programmed in a proper programmin...

Re: cracking the psx app
- Memory: This is got to be the worst problem at attempting this hack. Where will you store the homebrews? ps1 didn’t have a usb and memory cards are way to small, you can create a lot of them and swap them when you need one or other homebrews, but 128kb of space is really small for any decent brew...
