Re: WHY am I getting 2 pbp files upon installing 6.60
Just tried it on my 3000, the installer unpacks the me.pbp when it's launched. You can try to format the card and have only the installer and launcher files on the MS and try again. If the format doesn't help I would try a different memory stick. You could also try updating to 6.61 and using LME 2.3...

What kind of memory stick (MS) are you using? Sometimes fake cards or cards that combine micro SDs can do some odd things.
No setting in the PSP can stop the installation of the CFW. You can backup the data you want to keep the format the MS using the PSP and put only the LME files back on.

When I get home I'll test out the LME installer and see what I get from the installation.
When you use the LME installer it should kick you back to the XMB after the installation, then you would run the launcher and it will put you into the LCFW

Re: WHY am I getting 2 pbp files upon installing 6.60
From what I can see from the list of downloads available you have two PBP files (eboot.pbp and ME.pbp) because you are trying to use the ME (OFW version) download not LME. It is probably shutting down to prevent installation onto a system that can not use it. The LME zip file should have two folders...

Do you remember if the files you changed were in a folder called "vsh" or the directories "vsh/module" or "vsh/resource"?

Re: New To The PSP Looking For Some Advice
The psp update file should fit on a 32MB card check the card for any files that might be taking up space. if you can't delete anything you should get another MS. You can update through UMD games but most have lower version of the firmware which would be useless. I think the highest update on a umd i...
