Yeah, as long as the RAM is DDR3, its good. In some cases, the OS you have installed can be corrupt on new hardware. This mainly happens with Windows 8.1 for me.fate6 wrote:The plan was to take some parts from my current PC to reduce cost

Actually a friend is giving me his GTX 460 when he gets another GPU I need to get a x16 to x1 adapter but hey it'll work :3 A direct motherboard connection will always be superior especially if its an adaptor. So Christmas kicked in and i have some extra funds! So, how much are we talking? My recommendation is to try to put some of that money towards a nice little MSI motherboard and an AMD CPU.
