HD ports how are they made?

Probably no one knows how are they made, but if someone could post some insight that would be great. It just baffles me the difference between PS3, PS2 and PS VITA HD ports in weight. Examples. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. On PS3 MGS2 and 3 weight 17.3GB (MGS2 weights more or less the same as PS2...

Re: PS4 Backward compatible or not?

I think that it will be something like ps2 emulation on earlier ps3 versions, they will just add another motherboard to it to guarantee 100% compatibility for ps3 and about ps2 emu I think that with so much power it can be easily done by sony Yeah and the PS4 will cost 800$ with that, that's the so...

Re: PS4 Backward compatible or not?

Well it is now confirmed by Inside Gaming that PS4 will have AMD CPU and ATI GPU so chances that it will be backward compatible are low.

Re: PS4 Backward compatible or not?

ps3 emulation wouldn't be that hard for sony, sense they know ALL the ins and outs of the ps3, unlike everyone else. look at ps1 on the vita, we still cant git sound to work half right yet sony has little to no issues working with it lol but bc is (as always) a booster for lunching a system, as a m...

Re: PS4 Backward compatible or not?

IMO It will be like the PSP and Vita stores. Both separate, and the PSP store still has games the Vita store doesn't. So they'll just keep them, but have them separate but some of the content wont be view-able through the PS4 store. Well yes but PS VITA has PSP emulation so they do add games for it...

PS4 Backward compatible or not?

I have a question and i'm interested what you people think on this matter. With the recent supposed PS4 specs leak sporting and AMD CPU and ATI GPU theres no chance for backward compatibility for PS3 titles due to different architecture, of course "Sony" could try to make an emulator but that would ...

It's now fixed and says 2.02 on "Sony" website.

Re: System Update 2.05 out?

Well this maybe just a mistake on "Sony" side, the change log is the same as for 2.02 and on the European site it says 2.02 firmware.
