Some weeks ago, we reported that a new PS4 firmware was announced, which will add some new features like dimming the light bar at the Dualshock 4 controller and some more things.

Today information was made public, that said a new PS4 firmware update will be shipped as firmware 1.70 in approx. 7 days.

Preloading content is already a known thing. Steam does it, and a few other online stores do it too, but can the PSN offer this? The answer is yes.

Very soon it will be possible to pre-load content via the Playstation 4, so you are able to play the game as soon as possible, instead of downloading the 20GB of game data the day it is officially available and therefore wasting a few hours that you could be playing your new title!

PS4 Update screen

While we are still waiting for a new PS Vita firmware, the PS4 is getting firmware updates more regularly.

Despite the fact that it just got a new firmware, Sony has announced yet another, yet bigger, firmware for the Playstation 4, which adds some new cool features to it, which implies that the next firmware update will be something bigger than just a potentional 1.63.

Just now Sony announced project Morpheus, officially entering the re-emerging Virtual Reality gaming scene, in direct competition with the likes of the Oculus rift. Before you guys get too excited, there isn’t a release date yet.

PS4 Update

Like we already told you a few days ago, Sony is was preparing the Playstation 4 Firmware Version 1.60 for us, but the wait is over and the new Firmware Version is now available for download.

A new feature of this new Firmware is the support for various Headsets, e.g. the Gold Wireless Headset by Sony Computer Entertainment (And no, I am not getting paid for advertising this Sony product… Or am I?).

There are of course some more new functions are features in this brand new firmware update, which I will talk about in the next part of this blog post.

PS4 Update

Even though Sony did not officially announce the PS4 Firmware 1.60 yet, there are already some rumours about an upcoming PS4 Firmware Update 1.60.

It is known that currently just a few Headsets are working with the Playstation 4 and that some official PS4-certified Headsets are being released pretty soon.
But what has the new Firmware to do with those Headsets? Well, I will explain this in the following part…

DAX 1:0 PSP

The name Dark_Alex should ring in your ears, when you hear it. He was THE man, that made a lot of PSP CFWs (1.50 POC, 2.71 SE, 3.xx OE, 3.xx/4.01/5.00 M33, etc.), helped with the Pandora battery service mode, and released a lot of software for said pandora method. Dark~AleX should be known by most informed PSP scene people, and the fact that he updates his website for the PS4, might be an indication that he could return.

PS Vita Firmware 3.00 is LIVE

My friend Jd8531 just wrote an article, that the new Firmware 3.00 will be released very soon, and there it is.
The PS Vita Firmware 3.00 is now LIVE (In the USA and Europe atleast), and adds a bunch of new functions and stuff. Let’s take a look at it.
