Momir basic bug in 0.8.1 in linux

Postby kirbyboy » Tue Aug 18, 2009 3:55 am

I have just unlocked the momir basic type game, but i can't play it, the console says: "libpng error: Read Error!". Playing in ubuntu 8.04. Which file is trying to read?

This is a great error!
I've been trying to reproduce this one many times, but was never able to do so...
It basically means that the program is trying to open a file, thinks it is an image file that is not a jpeg neither a gif. By default it then assumes the image is a png file, which it is probably not.
It's probably a problem in some string...

Maybe (not sure) you are missing the "momir basic" deck in Res/Player.
It can be found here:
http://wagic.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/p ... /momir.txt

if putting this file in Res/Player does not solve the issue, please let me know.

I would love to know how to reproduce this one!

No, i had that file in correct folder. When i compiled the game i deleted all the files, except the wagic binary and the Res folder, and the game worked perfectly, but i may had deleted some other folder and that may be the problem. If in the error output you could put the file trying to be accesed would be very useful. I hope you understand what i mean because my english is not very good.

The Wagic binary and the Res folder should be enough for the game to run, but maybe for some reason a file or a subfolder is missing in your Res folder.I need to improve the error detection mechanisms. I will try to output as much as I can from now on.
Your english looks good enough to me, and I'm not a native english speaker either ;)
