no, it is exactly the same. I also didn't add any of the primitives except for the basic lands. I was planning on doing that though. All you need is to put the id # and primitive="name of card" and then the rarity (which none of them appear to have rarities atm) and then it will use the new art and the old card from the primitives.KF1 wrote:Thank you for the M13 primitive corrections devi59, I must hve been staring at the screen too long while doing these up...
I will update my M13 primitives accordingly.
Now I have a question. :
I am used to PC and PSP/Vita files having a seperate card .dat file with the card IDs on that and not mingled with the primitives.
Does the Android version make that not necessary?
Thanks for the M13 set too. You are just missing the tokens.

Re: Magic 2013 work-in-progress thread
M13 Card Dat file is in the first post.
Re: Magic 2013 work-in-progress thread
Are all the cards reprints? I didn't know that. Only reason to use primitives at this point is if the card is a reprint. Otherwise, you need to keep any "new" cards in because our primitives file will not have any of the new cards.KF1 wrote:M13 Card Dat file is in the first post.
Re: Magic 2013 work-in-progress thread
The M13 Primitives files only contain NEW cards. Reprint cards appear if they are in the current WTH primitives file.devi59 wrote:Are all the cards reprints? I didn't know that. Updated the dat file. I misnamed Augur of Bolas and needed to fix some ids on some basic lands.
Re: Magic 2013 work-in-progress thread
I'm getting really confused now, the original post had a lot more cards listed. Now all it seems to show is primitives (which, I am going through the primitives mtg.txt file, and not all are there)KF1 wrote:The M13 Primitives files only contain NEW cards. So for instance, this is what my "A" section looks like now, after I merged what was a primitive and what was a new card or "missing" card:devi59 wrote:Gotten through the "D"s so far, if I changed it to name= instead of primitive= it is not in the mtg.txt file. Re: Magic 2013 work-in-progress thread
devi59,
have a look at this thread: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=3582 for Avacyn Restored.
You are making more work for yourself than necessary. The STOCK WTH primitive file (in the Sets folder) do not have card ids on them anywhere.
Each NEW set added to Wagic should have a folder with:
1. card dat - with the card set ids
2. SETNAME.zip file - card images zipped via "store" mode
3. Booster file - not essential but helps the store determine card values. for M13 I copied M12's version, renamed it and posted it here.
The card dat file helps with identifying the newer cards and with distinguishing between the reprint cards that keep showing up. For example, Giant Spider appears in all the Core sets up to M11 and there are a few different images for this one card. The Giant Spider in 4ED looks different than the one in M10. The same principle applies to the basic lands.
Every new big set and every yearly core set has mandatory reprint cards (i.e, basic lands, staple cards, et. al.) in them otherwise the game would be unplayable.
When a new set has NEW cards a primitive file should be made. The term "primitive" in this context means the rules for the cards you are going to add to the game. I would never name M13's primitives as simply primitives for fear of overwriting the STOCK primitives. In M13, I chose to name it "M13 primitives" this distinguishs it from the STOCK WTH primitives.
Note that the M13 primitive file does not contain all 249 cards; only the ones that a not already in the STOCK primitives.
When the powers at be add M13 to the STOCK primitives, having a seperate M13 primitives file will not be necessary.
Now if if I made a Zelda set it would have the following in my Sets/ZELDA folder:
1. card dat with the list of the Zelda cards, card ids, rarity, etc.
2. zipped images
3. booster file - not essential
My primitives file for a Legend of Zelda set would simply be named "Zelda" so I could find it easily in the Sets/primitives folder for editing later.

Re: Magic 2013 226/249
So, is there a primitives additions files for the new cards without IDs? I think KF1 had one at some point but now it's gone...
Re: Magic 2013 226/249
that was my point, I get it now that KF1 is saying to make a new primitives file in the primitives folder and then just putting the cards.dat file in the M13 directory. It makes sense so then I wouldn't have to "rip down" my cards.dat file later once it all gets merged with an official update. Either way I suppose it doesn't matter to me, I just want to work on playable cards. I guess I was going about it in a lot harder way with more work that I would have to do. I guess I didn't realize we could add extra primitives files to that folder, I thought it all had to be in just the one main file (except with unplayable, borderline, etc.) so I guess I should work on that now. It will at least make it easier. Definitely need the old cards.dat file the thread had before though.Blublub wrote:So, is there a primitives additions files for the new cards without IDs?
