Custom EBOOT - ICON1.PMF & SND0.AT3

Hi there,

I wanted to add an animated icon and sound to my EBOOT so it took me quite some time, and the result is not 100% perfect (unfortunately) but it work !!!

Here is the ICON01.PMF

To install I use PSP content manager (download here: http://dl.qj.net/psp/homebrew-applicati ... r-v18.html)
select wagic click on Edit and add the ICON1.PMF under animated icon and SND0.AT3 under sound... click OK and that's it.

You can install this also by using other soft like PSP Brew, etc..

For all the lazy people out there... here is a compiled version of last SVN with customized everything to match Final Saga Theme...

EDIT: Just managed to get the sound to work too... both files needs to be together less than 500KB....

You just change the makefile and you can compile from svn and use this as well

That's quite a lot of work as you'd need to change the way we save all files, so that it uses the standard PSP savedata mechanism. It's been requested by several people already, but it's (at least) several weeks of full-time work (a.k.a several months of hobbyist free time)

No problem for icon1.pmf but how do you add snd0.at3 ?

Good luck, it would be great to be able to put it in an ISO/CSO.

By the way if somebody wants to have instruction on how to create your own SND0.AT3 or ICON1.PMF I'm ready to do a small tutorial but be aware that it is a pain...

If somebody comes with a nicer video to put as ICON1.PMF I would also be happy to convert it (as long as it is no longer than 7sec)

The Sound for SND0.AT3 is the current track0.mp3 cut and looped... the result is not so bad but if somebody comes with a better idea please post your MP3 or WAV file and I would be happy to convert it (as long as it no longer than 25sec).

First Yeshua, I dont see how you can be having problems with Wagic on Gen-D2, because that is what i am running...


Second Wololo is right about this... you would have to change the way the Game Saves... but not only that... but the way and placement of the Set files... also all the customizable things (themes, Sets, Avatars, AI Decks/Avatars) would have the be rerouted... because if you make it into an ISO or a CSO, it would Read at Point Disc0:, which in turn would be empty... that is why most emulators cannot be changed over to PSP ISO/CSO format... (trust me i tried already) now, if you could get it to save the files and read the files from a hard coded Path (IE, MS0:/Wagic/, and in this folder is folders like in the Eboot Path for the RES folder... Meaning. Sets would Be at ms0:/wagic/Sets/(set Folder name), so on and so forth)

this would be somewhat... and i mean somewhat... easier than changing over the entire save system... though i have looked into it already... and i have a bit of source coding from another PSP homebrew with the PSP save Data Function... i just have to figure out how to add it to the Source of the Wagic(i have it already, but C++ is currently beyond me), and Compile my own Copy...

Hi,

So as Yeshua said it can also be added automatically to the Eboot when you compile for the PSP.

Just be sure you have the following in your makefile:

EXTRA_TARGETS = EBOOT.PBP
PSP_EBOOT_TITLE = Wagic, the Homebrew?!
PSP_EBOOT_ICON = icon.png
PSP_EBOOT_ICON1 = icon1.pmf
PSP_EBOOT_UNKPNG = pic0.png
PSP_EBOOT_PIC1 = pic1.png
PSP_EBOOT_SND0 = snd0.at3

and copy icon1.pmf and snd0.at3 in your mtg folder.

For the lazy one you can download the following zip including a custom pic0,pic1,snd0.at3,icon1.pmf and icon.png as well as a modified makefile.

All to match the new default theme.
