You can download XnView ( http://www.xnview.com/ )to do multiple cropping/enhancement/converting... I personnaly use the simple window photo editor to do so.

I actually found that FastStone Photo Resizer does a great mass cropping (even has the batch crop feature).

If you plan to do some HQ work (cropping, renaming) be so kind to inform me in this post so that I don't invest time in something not necessary.

I'll have to see how the normal pic's go before I try to tackle HQ.

Don't think there is much difference doing it in HQ or in crappy quality there are torrents you can download that have every single card from alpha till now (including the dark mana and light mana versions of Arabian Nights and Antiques (i think it were those don't remember and to lazy to check my cards lol)) if you crop those yuu'll have them in HQ

Promo set for Gatherer (PPR) photo #97059 its a photo of a pegasus token from unglued. it should be Rathi Assassin.
just checked Gatherer and yup they screwed it up. i checked a few sites but this is the best pic i could find they all use this one. to me it just looks like a foil rathi assassin. so unless someone can get this card and scan it i guess this is going to have to do. i cropped and resized to wagic size with mspaint both full size and thumbnail size, i hope this helps.

No chance except putting all original HQ manually from all the other sets they are from...

Anyway for Master edition 3, you can have a look here: http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=176669

You will need to download each card individually, which is painfull process anyway...

If somebody has an HQ link... then that would be great

Other than that I suppose some script could be made to obtain them quickly and efficiently from the gatherer... but that would be crappy quality.

Just a quick note, I noticed that you posted the following:

There actually is a token producing card included in the 8th edition set (and I provided the appropriate token for the card):
