Well the best thing you should do before modding a PSP is googeling it and reading the readme's, GEN D is not for TA88V3 or newer/PSP 3000's, it's pretty much not hackable just partially with chickHEN D2 but then only if your firmware is 5.03 or below (you can see it on the box of your PSP if the box code is D or lower you can partially hack it if not you can't for now.)

As for what you can do now, you could try to unbrick it yourself but i give you about 0.0001% of succes rate for that, the best thing you can do is box it up and send it back to Sony and telling them if failed during an official update (telling them the battery failed during it is the best way to go but remember that they arent stupid) and just keep acting like you ARE stupid and it seriously happend during a firmware upgrade there is a small chance they'll fix it for you, if this doesen't work you can buy a new motherboard (wich costs about 60 bucks i think) wich has to be the same as your previous else the other hardware won't work on it, other thing you can do is throw it in the microwave and watch because you pretty much fucked it up.

I googled some more and coulden't find any fix for you maybe someone else knows a better way but Recovery flashers won't work in my opinion but i could be wrong (i hope for you i am lol)

But if push comes to shove your stuck buying a new psp, next time READ THE NFO!!!!!!!

Well hope someone else has a better idea but this is what i can come up with sorry dude.

Sell it on ebay for the hardware (you'll get roughly 50 or 60$)
OR send it to Sony for a repair (this costs 80$ I think)

From what i read about it that's a no go but because of the other chipsets etc. in it but it's worth the shot, i coulden't find anything conclusive about it so worst case scenario you will be stuck with a older board and TA88V3 board, so if it doesent work find a TA88V3 mobo with a boxcode D or lower then you can run the chickHEN D2 and atleast partially hack it. That's about all the advice i can give you. (Btw don't throw away your old board since alot of ppl made the stupid mistake of not reading into the subject before starting to flash there MIGHT (and i say might because i haven't noticed anyone working on it yet) be a unbrick fix later so you can unbrick the now bricked board and sell it for some $ :) )

The steps i would take in this case are thes:

Step 1. Send it to sony for repair, tell them in the form that it broke down because of a battery malfunction while updating with OFW. If that doesen't work go to step 2.

Step 2. Try to get a friends older mobo or something like that, screw it in and see if it works with the chipset or if it malfunctions, If it works go to step 3 if it doesen't go to step 4.

Step 3. Buy the same Mobo your friends or whoever you tricked into lending him his/her mobo and buy the exeact same type and tada your done, skip to step 5.

Step 4. Buy a original TA88V3 board screw it in and go to step 6.

Step 5. Tada your done, now you can flash it with a CFW if it is a older version Mobo with OFW 5.03 or lower, Go to the final step.

Step 6. Tada your done, you can if you want now flash it with chickHEN D2 IF the mobo boxcode is D or lower Go to the final step.

Final step: Do not throw away your old mobo there might be a fix in the future because there are alot of ppl that fcked up there psp this way, if a fix comes out, fix it and or use it or sell it for some $

That's what i would do :)

Multiple discussions, but you can send it to sony japan maybe even to sony indonesia, it's worth to try.
For the discussions just google "unbrick TA88V3"
