That's the (in)famous "Purple Screen" bug. It will be fixed in the next release. Until then, you can try to quit/restart the application, or relocate Wagic to a different folder - the error appears somewhat randomly, so if you're shifting enough things around, then you're likely to find some setup where it doesn't happen (for a while).

We apologize for the inconvenience - this was a truly nasty bug that haunted us for a long time, until Yeshua and Raphael finally found a fix (or at least a good way to prevent it from appearing). 0.9.x should be the last release troubled by it.

There's also an "alternate.pbp" file in the game that you can try to rename to EBOOT.PBP to see if it helps you.
If nothing else helps, try to check other solutions in the dedicated thread:

okay here's some weird news... I was playing around with my haki9 version of backtrack 2 on my p.o.s. computer and when i was done i clicked shutdown and in the shutdown sequence i got the PSD. I was somewhat in shock since i had never seen that before on anything but my PSP and since it was a commercially distributed version of linux i figured i would never see that but i thought it would be interesting to post. Sorry i dont have a screenshot, (its kinda hard to get one in the shutdown sequence :P)

:shock:
That was a bug in the PSP rendering routine, it is pretty safe to assume that what you experienced is a different bug, although that's interesting.

Ok, I specifically registered on this forum just to be able to post this. It may have some relevance, or it may not. However, this is what happened.
I encountered the infamous purple screen of despair. I was using a "phat" psp with 5.50 GEN-D3 custom firmware. I have a plugin called game_categories which enables you to create subfolders in the main folders of your psp such as video, music, game, etc. I created a folder Wagic and launched it from there. Then the purple screen appeared with double vision covering only the upper half of my display. I figured it could be the file path so I simply put the WTH folder directly into the GAME folder and all problems disappeared. I can`t remember the exact version of Wagic I used, but it was downloaded yesterday from this page so I assume it is the current version.
I hope this has some significance. Also, although I know I should post only bugs here, I wanted to ask a question since I am already writing a post. I downloaded the complete Magic The Gathering Original pack from this forum and just wanted to ask should I first install the current Wagic version, then implement the Magic add-on by overwriting any files with the same name, or is the situation more complicated? Sorry for adding an off-the-topic question here, but I figured this could as well go to the same thread since I haven`t been able to properly play Wagic after installing the Magic pack

Thank for your feedback;
However this bug has been fixed ages ago, so you most likely downloaded an old version.
We do not offer support for ANYTHING that hasn't been downloaded from the official download page: http://wololo.net/wagic/download.

For example, if you downloaded a "full pack" including images, that's not the official version, even if you downloaded it from these forums (which are different from the official download page).

I hope that clear ups some confusions :)
