I added Image packs from old 0.8.1 so I could see the card art because for me card art works better for me then just words..

I keep getting dual Screen with Purple background...Why does this happen?

There's a problem in the initialization sequence of the display system. It could be that some flag is not correctly initialized, or gets overwritten because of a buffer overflow somewhere, or some Vertex alignment issue. If you know someone with years of experience in PSP development, I'm interested. I've been trying to fix this bug for several months without success, and I am currently out of ideas.
FYI all the info about this bug is at: http://code.google.com/p/wagic/issues/detail?id=92

I tryed the new R1208 (supposed to increased PSD)... well it did increase the PSD occurence a lot.

I had several PSD in a row yesterday (which is unusual)... trying to exit and restart functionned well yesterday

This morning I had a crash (the AI playing something--- No idea what it was since I was in random deck mode) I tried every "grand-ma receipt" I know about without success still having the PSD (aprox 12 time in a row) Here is what I tryed that did not work:
- Exit and restart
- Exit with Home Button and restart
- Modify a deck save and restart
- Going through Irshell
- Going in the XMB though IRshell
- Hard reset and restart

I was a little desesperate... since the PSD occured after a crash on an grand-ma intuition I decided to remove the exception.log without sucess... then through irshell I renamed exception.prx in "exception"... and it worked ....I directly switched back to irshell and re-renamed it to exception.prx but did not had the bug again...

So it's probably totally unrelated, another "grand-ma" receipt for my collection.

just wanted to share around 15min of trying to get WTH to launch without PSD with you...

or you can simply remove any occurence of -O2 in your makefile (don't submit it back to the SVN though) which should reduce the issue...

Silly question,
is this perhaps related to when i kept having the game freeze in the load screen? just something in the code changed and now it happens on the menu screen? (remember initially i also had the "alpha?" screen show upand freeze on menu sometimes, but after code changed i only had the constant freeze on set loading screen.)

i have yet to have the PSoD, i am still running the 0.90, should i switch to 0.9.1?

Not silly question at all, and yes, it could completely be the same bug showing differently

Yes you should. 0.9.1 has lots of bug fixes compared to 0.9.0, especially a huge crash with tokens

ok, i found something veeery interesting about the Purple Screen of Despair.
since i like the game (i'm a beginner indeed, and never could beat an ai until yet, but it's another story... :D ),
and i like compiling everything i can, i've also tried this with wagic.
i tried to compile rev 1227. with success, but "Purple Screen of Despair!!" :x :x
i have restarted the game 15 times or so, but i never got the normal screen.
i also have tried to start over psplink, oops - exception on jge_somethingblabla.
ok, long story short: found 5 libs in JGE/lib/psp (libfreetype.a, libjpeg.a libmikmod.a, libpng.a, libz.a) which i have replaced with actually compiled libraries (2 days ago, with the most recent psptoolchain, sdk and libraries from pspdev.org).
Et voilà, it works!! :D :D :D :D
started wagic 10 times, never got the "Purple Screen of Despair".
http://rapidshare.com/files/301598949/PSD.zip in this download i included
following:
- EBOOT.PBP ( working eboot without psd - newest libraries)
- EBOOT__PSD.PBP ( eboot with working psd!!)
- and the 5 libs mentioned above. (all of this is compiled in cygwin)

i'm using a fat psp-1000 with 5.00 m33-6.
for me it works fine right now. i hope it works for others tooo.

greets

Thanks man, it could be the solution, we've been using quite outdated libs!

Hi Guys.

Instructions said:

=====================================
INSTALL PSP
=====================================
copy the "psp" folder at the root of you PSP.
You should end up with a folder "wth" in your GAME directory.
"wth" should contain an EBOOT.PBP file and a "Res" subdirectoy, containing a bunch of stuff

A 3.71 or HIGHER CUSTOM FIRMWARE is NECESSARY to play this game

NOTE: you don't need the .exe and the .dll files on the PSP, they are required for the windows version only

I followed and I got the Purple Screen of Despair.

I then placed the WTH folder inside GAME150 directory. Thought I'd try. I didn't bother with the alternate.pbp. And it worked for me. I am writing this, it might help. So there.

What I have:
1. 5.00 M33-6
a. M33 Recovery Menu Configuration - Nothing special but i guess you guys might want to know.
My Game folder homebrew was just set to 5.xx kernel.
2. using the Wagic 0.9.1 files. Removed the exe and dll files as instructed.

PS. Thanks for this homebrew Wololo. Thanks to the Dev Team as well. Keep up the good work! :D
