To make quests more interesting, how about letting players choose which quest to take, and award reputation points if a quest is successfully completed (and of course penalty if the player fails).
Then wizard ranks based on reputation points gained would be nice too (Wagic Apprentice, etc.. )
And also price modifier based on magician ranks, so higher ranking wizard could buy boosters and singles at cheaper rates
I don't know if any of these ideas are hard to implement, just sharing my thoughts to make this wonderful game more interesting and addictive.
