Collection tracking

Postby Bernhard » Mon Dec 19, 2011 8:28 pm

Hi there,

as much as I like Wagic, there's one feature that I seriously miss. Since I really like the collection aspect of the game, I wish there was a way to see which cards of a set I have and which are still missing.
Currently I'm mostly buying LEA boosters in hopes of eventually collecting the whole set and while I know that I have quite a lot of the LEA cards already, I'm having a hard time figuring out which ones I'm actually still missing, so any kind of feature that makes figuring this out any easier would be greatly appreciated.
Actually it would be awesome to have some kind of collection tracking mode where you can choose a set (LEA in my case) and then get a 3x3 grid of thumbnails (per page) of all the cards available in that set, where the cards you own have a number shown on top of them that indicates how often you have that card in your collection and all the cards you don't own are greyed out showing a zero on top.

Since this is probably too much work to implement in a short amount of time (or maybe it's not? I don't know, since I'm not a programmer) another suggestion to implement this, would be to just add those overlaying numbers to the trophy room, since the trophy room pretty much already has the full card lists sorted by sets (even though it doesn't have the grid that I would prefer).

I hope this shouldn't be too hard to implement. And imho it should help to keep a better record of people's collection of Wagic cards.

This is a great suggestion. The thumbnail idea would be very convenient but requires us to code a new game "section", which is a fair amount of work. The suggestion of using the trophy room is also fairly good. I'll add this to my todo list but don't hold your breath. It's usually better if someone "jumps in" and provide us a patch....
